As Summer ’25 begins its full ascent with the celebration of Independence Day, our eyes now turn to the Davisville Civic Association (DCA) Annual Meeting. With great anticipation and intrigue, this year will mark the first in many, many, years that we will meet at a new venue – the Elementary School. This is a first for all of us and we hope to be able to evaluate whether it will work out going forward, or we consider another venue. On the positive side, the event will not be altered by rain.

Last year’s meeting was very informative with a superb guest speaker, Troy Clarkson. We also had very informative dialogue and updates from Joe Sullivan, Vice President, on the Cape Cod Bridges and Barbara Schneider on the Menauhant Beach & Bridge project. For 2025, we hope to have another guest and are working to make that happen.

For this year’s meeting, consider bringing ideas for future speakers and potential civic-minded activities that our Association can undertake as a group to benefit the Davisville neighborhood and the greater Falmouth area. I look forward to seeing you, and our Board Officers and Members will be most pleased to have our valued membership attend and engage together as we do every year!

Remember our DCA Mission:

  • Foster and promote Davisville civic betterments.

  • Maintain Davisville as an attractive and historic residential area.

  • Aid, promote, and support projects which enhance Davisville.

  • Foster and promote traffic safety.

  • Oppose projects which detract from the desirability of Davisville.
